NSW: Court told man allowed drugs to be stored in his home

A Sydney court has been told a man stored drugs at his home for two major dealers in
return for free supplies for himself.

WARWICK JOHN LOTT has pleaded not guilty in the New South Wales Supreme Court to supplying
a commercial quantity of methamphetamine, also known as speed.

The court has been told that during 2000 and 2001 a woman, who can be known only as
M-L, and her de facto husband, R-W, stored speed at LOTT's home in the Newcastle suburb
of Elemore Vale.

Crown prosecutor RICHARD HERPS said the couple had been major drug suppliers in the
Newcastle area for four years before they were arrested in September 2001.

The trial will continue tomorrow.
