Qld: Foster carers to get boost if Beattie re elected
Queensland foster parents will receive increased allowances and respite services for
the disabled will be boosted if the Beattie Government is re-elected.
Launching the Labor Party's families policy today, Premier PETER BEATTIE pledged $8.4
million over three years to help the state's 2200 foster families.
He says this increases the foster carer allowance by 10 per cent and doubles the clothing
allowance.
